Treatment Plan completed!!!

Sometimes it's hard to believe all that Scott has been through with this treatment. Starting January 3rd, from Dr. Sielaff's office and the first unsuccessful surgery, we moved to plan B @ U of MN seeing Dr. Greeno. He showed us the recommended treatment plan and we cannot believe that it has all fallen into place. I guess it does help to just put one foot in front of the other and to keep moving, I said this more then once to several of you when you asked, "How do you do it?"

Scott's shingles have reached their peak (I think) soon they will heal and fade away. This past week has been one of the tough ones for Scott, but again he conquered it. We are all so proud of him, he did not really complain (ok sometimes) but I believe few could have tolerated so much.

Of course, we know we owe a lot to our doctors and nurses, researchers, clinical and staff members, and hospitals. We are also thankful for good insurance benefits, the RR has covered all the bills thus far with only co-pays paid by us!! Thanks also to my employer for all the time off I was allowed thorough all this, and to the employees that "covered" for me, especially Bernie!

Scott goes back in late October for a re-check CT scan, in the mean time he hopes to recover quickly from this last chemo treatment. Let's hope his energy and weight go on the upswing quickly. Give him a call/email if you have a chance, he enjoys hearing from everyone.

In November he has a ticket to Lambeau waiting for him, let's hope the Pack can recover before then too!!

And....have we mentioned that we are expecting a grandson ?? Make sure you check out those pictures :-)

This is getting long isn't it? Again and again...thanks!! We could NOT have done this without all the support and prayers and love from family, friends, friends of friends, neighbors, co-workers, and those that we don't even know.

All our love and appreciation...

Roxane & Scott
Ben &Jen - Claire & Kyle
Toby, Lily & Scruffy too!! :-)

WOW--I have heard that shingles are very painful!! Wow--kind of not fair--after all that you have been through--to have this added pain!
Hope that you feel real good soon.
Yes, it has been an amazing journey for both of you! Scott, guess your "vacation" from work will be over once you have all of your strength back--but then, work will seem like a vacation after all that you have been through!
Enjoy!
I hope that you are enjoying the same kind of Fall weather that we are down her in Crystal Lake. It has been gorgeous!
Congrats to all of you on your little William! You will be awesome grandparents!
Lots of Love,
Bernie W.
