Procedure change
The procedure today did not go as planned. Dad's esophagus is too inflamed for the "balloon thing" (that is what I call it) to work, so they are going to put a stint in sometime this afternoon. I believe a stint is much stronger and should be able to open up the esophagus. The good thing about our doctors is they always have a back-up plan.
As for the liver biopsy results-we don't have any. If we don't hear a result by 3pm our NP will call pathology and have them give her the result over the phone, and she will let us know.
That is all for now. Dad is resting, and waiting for his next procedure. He is "on-call".
More as I know it.
**UPDATE. Dad is back in his room. The procedure this afternoon was not for the stint being placed, instead it was a CT scan to see what they needed to do, where it needed to be placed, and whatnot. So, just a looksie. Hopefully more news tomorrow. No biopsy results yet either. Hurry up and wait, I guess. More later!

Yes, life always seems to be "hurry up and wait". It is hard for all of us. So I hope that you are resting, Scott, and that tomorrow will bring an end to some of the waiting. It is a quiet afternoon here in Roseburg. Overcast, but thankfully, no rain with the temp at 53 degrees. A good afternoon to do mundane housewifely chores, but I did get in a workout and a tennis match this a.m. You are always at the forefront of my thoughts and prayers. Love always,..cousin Kris
