Scott's Update

Hi all - Scott is resting a lot, and his pain is under control. We are still using IV antibiotics, but fevers still occur, not as high as the temps in the hospital last week, we are just to expect these fevers, the Doc's are saying it is the cancer that is causing them since they cannot locate another source. Scott is on oxygen now, we were sent home with it from Fairview.

We have settled into a care routine, we have a visiting RN, her name is Heather, she has helped us out a lot with Scott's comfort, she is very experienced with pancreatic cancer patients, so we are thankful for her. Claire has been able to work flexible hours and from home; which is a BIG help for me, she is able to do all the shopping, help out with daily housework chores, and help with Scott's care.

I have been printing and reading your emails, cards and notes with Scott. Thank you also for flowers, balloons, and gifts that he has received in the last few weeks.

We expect a visit from Ben, Jen and William this weekend, perhaps even Toby and Lily will come along!!
