Surgery Completed!! :-)

Hi everyone - Surgery was completed shortly after 2 p.m. this afternoon. We spoke with Dr. Sielaff and he was very positive. The surgery was longer than expected but he saw no signs of the tumor spreading, and did the best he could to remove all of the cancer. Biopsy results will follow.

Spleen was removed, 60% of the pancreas, "chunk" of stomach (really that's how he said it).

We took a short break outside and will expect to see Scott soon, he is currently in recovery.

We expected great things and I think we got what we wanted!!

Glad things went well with the surgery.A lot of Soo Liners were pray for Scotty.

Words cannot express how thankful we are in the Fox Valley that Scott's surgery went well today. Thanks so much for the frequent updates during the day; our main focus all day was keeping track of the progress @the hospital. Keep on blogging.
