Saturday...

Not much to report this morning. Scott will spend the weekend in the hospital for sure. Monday should be a procedure to "stretch" open his esophagus, our NP told us though that sometimes this will take more than one try to get a good result. We also are expecting the results of the liver bio. The infection docs are prescribing stronger antibiotics this weekend to see if they see a result with healing and the reduction of his spiking fevers.

Scott does feel stronger though, he is walking the unit a few laps each day. The change in his insulin dosage seems to be working better also.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Roxane & Scott

p.s. Today is Scruffy's B-day!!! He's 4...he will be celebrating by taking a trip over to Eau Claire with Claire...there are two things he especially loves...rides and popsicles - he will get both today!

Hi Scott and Rox,
I am glad that you are getting up and around again.
Hope that you are able to sleep well through the night, though, I know that that is not easy in a hospital!
Good luck with the stretching--ouch!
We are seeing sunshine outside for the first time in a couple of weeks, I am sure!! Hope that you are too!
No snow left down here in Crystal Lake, IL--too bad, because snow and sunshine is a beautiful combination!
Lots of love,
Bernie W.

We'll be thinking about you on Monday as you go through your "procedure". Doesn't sound like much fun, but hopefully the end result will make you feel better. Glad that you are up and moving around a bit. Keep on working it! Not much going on around here this weekend. Eric's out working "the ranch" and I'm just doing after Christmas organizational type stuff. The rain continues as do the mud slides and creek overflows. Kids are back at college and the empty nest looms large once again. Love and prayers always....cousin Kris

Scott and Roxie:
Thoughts and prayers with you. Continue the good fight.
