Change in plan...

Tanya Watson, NP called today with the results of Scott's CT. It seems the walls of the cyst have not matured as we had hoped they would, so they cannot do the EUS surgery earlier, in fact they have cancelled the November date, and Scott will be re-scanned in Mid-December. Yes, we are dissapointed with this news.

It has been decided that Scott will have to have a "NJ" tube inserted in his nose, a nutritional supplement is then fed through this. The feeding tube should help to make Scott stronger and greatly lessen the effects of trying to eat and swallow food. We have an appointment at the U-Fairview on Monday @ 9am to get the tube inserted. As far as we know Scott will have a visiting RN helping us with the care and use of the feeding tube, we will know more when that care gets set up.

Not the best news day around here, but we know that we are getting the best care. Scott needs to be stronger, we will get there it's just a bump in the road.

Scott,

Hope everything went well with the tube insertion. Steve called, Roxie's brother was up north for hunting and told Steve. He called to find out what was going on. I told him you were O.K. Now you can start putting some weight back on so you will be beefed up by xmas.
Love, Judy
